How to play

Every swipe moves every bead one step in that direction at the same time. A bead stops if a wall, the edge or another bead is in the way, which is how you pull them out of sync. Land each bead on the ring of the same shape and colour. Arrows give a bead one extra push after each swipe; a bead that slides into a hole is lost. Par is the fewest swipes possible, found by a solver: match it for three stars.

Controls

iPhone and iPad

Swipe anywhere on the board. Undo, Restart and Hint are under the board.

Mac

Arrow keys or W A S D to move, Z or Delete to undo, R to restart, Esc to go back.

Apple TV

Swipe or click the edges of the remote's touch surface to move. Click to undo. Click and hold for Restart, Hint and Back. Play/Pause for a hint.

Apple Watch

Swipe on the board. Undo is bottom left (or double tap); ••• opens Hint, Restart and the menu.

Questions

Is the Daily card the same for everyone?

Yes. It comes from the date, so everyone gets the same puzzle on the same day, in the app and on this website.

Do my stars sync between devices?

Yes, through iCloud, when you're signed in to the same Apple Account on each device.

I bought Lockstep Complete on another device.

Open Settings in the app and tap Restore Purchases. One purchase covers iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV.

What's free?

The Daily card, the Beginner and Intermediate cards, and Beginner Shuffle. Lockstep Complete unlocks the harder cards, the secret Master deck, Endless and every Shuffle level.
